Interstate Construction is now, with Carl’s three sons joining him, a true family owned and operated business. We have taken the foundation that our father started along with his business philosophies: Treat customers honestly and fairly, work hard and give thanks to God for the increase, and are continuing to this day. It is our desire to continue to build on the principles that have been instilled in us since we were children and to allow God, with our hard work, take us to new heights.
Interstate Construction is a general contracting company in Southwest Virginia started in 1973 by Carl Lambert. During the lean times of the 1970's, Carl found himself frequently travelling along the highways of Virginia to find and secure contracts for his new company. During his travels he came to the conclusion that with all the traveling he might as well call his company "Interstate Construction."
Interstate Construction currently works under contract with the Virginia Department of Transportation to ensure the public safety by keeping our Interstates clear of Ice & snow during the winter season. We also work in the Traffic Control division as well as the highway litter and mowing division. Interstate Construction thrives to keep the roadways safe and clear year round.
